Poem: Beneath The Skies

In the quiet, the mind takes flight,
Wandering deep into the night.
Thoughts like whispers softly tread,
On paths of what was never said.

A moment lost in endless fear,
A future drawn too far, too near.
What if I chose a different way?
Would it change the course of yesterday?

I try to silence every thought,
But the echoes leave me overwrought.
What if I just let go, let be?
Could my heart finally feel free?

So I close my eyes and breathe again,
And trust that peace will rise within.
The world will turn, the sun will rise,
And I’ll find calm beneath the skies.
